Celebrated Square Root Day

I guess MLS isn't really a thing anymore on CP, so I'll post here. Man, what a crazy result for Toronto FC to knock off Atlanta and go to the finals against Seattle.
Both Seattle and Toronto have been to 3 of the last 4 MLS cups.

But wow, the eye test says Atlanta could have won 3 or 4 nil, it was a bloodbath in terms of play. Yet, they squeaked out two goals and won.

Atlanta had more of the ball but only really 2 good chances the whole second half. Toronto fc deserves a lot of credit for pulling that off without 2 of their 3 best players on the road. They definitely played counter attacking soccer but I wouldn't say they were outplayed badly by any stretch
Edit - didn't watch the first half except highlights so maybe 3 or 4 is fair. Tfc executed well in 2nd anyway
Also lol Frank De Boer. Worst manager I've ever seen in his stretch at palace

A friendly reminder for anyone confused about kickoff time

And to no surprise to anyone, CSA overturns Borges red card (but not Waterman)…

Really losing my excitement for Saturday... you just know that Cavalry "aren't supposed to win"

Haha, what a joke. Not surprised in the slightest though.

You know there is something wrong when having the ball accidentally touch your arm is punished more than attempting to kick someone in the head.

Funny how the CSA can make a decision on the red card quickly, but a racism allegation against one of the Forge's coaches takes 4+ months.
It's going to be so sweet when we win...

This is incredible. It's just setting up everything for Forge, hook line and sinker.

And his appeal is still outstanding, right?
The CSA will probably have that figured out on Monday. 45 day suspension stands, to be served entirely in the off-season.

Ha, I just scanned to see if the MLS thread got bumped and was debating posting in here.
Crazy entertaining playoffs for TFC so far, and they seemed like a team that wouldn't even make the playoffs half way through the season.
Both goals were utterly insane. They had two quarter chances, if that, and utterly buried them. Nick Deleon is Mr. Clutch.
Hopefully Omar & Jozy are ready to go for the final, nice to have some days off. They looked really, really tired.

They did?! I mean sure, they were down a man already so that evened things up again, but they didn't get any advantage when the red was given?
I'm going to cheer for the best on Saturday, but fully expect a Pyrrhic victory for the Forge. The league has done everything they can for this, and I can't see them not being able to follow through on Saturday to finish it off. I'd be thrilled to be proven wrong.

It was not an advantage so much as an opportunity. Championship teams take advantage of those. The fact of the matter is that officiating aside Cavalry did not play well, and Forge did. I hope that this awakens the same determination this team had when they played Montreal and VWC. Those experiences will pay off. My guess is that it will go to pens.

I'd rather lose in regulation than lose in penalties. That's a crap format to not have extra time.
I know that Cavalry haven't exactly had an explosive offence vs. Forge, but I'm asking for 3 goals. Make it decisive, avoid penalties, and shove that glass platter disc thing up the asses of Forge, Borges, the CSA, and the league. Wishful thinking, I know, but let's see it.

My blood is boiling! I would love it if the Cavs absolutely crushed Forge on Saturday, but I know that's a tall order.
