Really the game was lost when Frolik failed to clear the puck on the pk.

Ref was brutal too.

Was still a fun time though and happy I went

The guy that assembled the core just got an extension. He's not going anywhere and given he went out of his way to hire Peters so I would think the coach will be back next season even if they miss the playoffs.

Peters is a fantastic coach. He’s proven himself. Team needs to find it from within and oddly that could be the spark that does something special. Really don’t think they played as bad as people are saying and question how closely people actually watched the game or what their memory is like.

Couple mistakes lost the game. Frolik on the puck out and losing the man on the OT. That’s the game. Other than that, they really didn’t play that bad against a team that was desperate for a win.

#### the anti-flames national broadcasts.

Couldn't give it a break for one outdoor, neutral location event.

They just don't give a damn about the diehards dressed in red and their devotion. Zero excitement even mustered from our perspective. Tired of listening to Winnipeg/Edmonton/Vancouver drivel every ####ing time we face any of them.

I'm aware. Just making the point that if he built a faulty core, what leads some people to believe he can build one that wins in the playoffs?

Kind of sounds like Gulutzan hockey to me. Excuses for not playing good enough to win. They played well at times but their best players didn't get the job done.

I don't think the Flames have looked that good all year. They definitely don't look like contenders to me, and really look like they need a shake up. Stale and uninspired play.

Since the All Star break? He won the ####ing Division in a walk, and finished second over all.

One of the very very best franchises ever in the NFL , the Steelers , are on their 3rd coach since 1970.

Player accountability becomes a very real thing when they know they own team and individual game performance.

No excuses. Play hard and to your optimum level.

Yup.
But Lindholm and Backlund had both been used on PK duty.
Monahan came out of the box but was on the ice for basically a shift 4 on 4 before the next whistle.

I feel like we're gonna see a lot of "they didnt play too poorly, it's coming along, lots of games left" type comments for some time. To me this team doesn't look like they'll be contender status. Not sure I see that changing without some type of change.

They have largely been crap. At least they held a lead for a period for a change. That's been pretty rare for this team as they have spent the majority of October tied or trailing in games. I actually think their record flatters them.
