11 round 3-2 shootout loss for the Heat tonight. Cave scored the winner.

Dube and Gawdin scored for the Heat in regulation.

Damn sucks for Dube. Hopefully nothing serious.

So the Heat seem to be doing ok, if we use Oiler theory after how well they supposedly did last season (uuugghh sorry), that must mean we are due to win the stanley cup for the next century.

Pretty good depth there, especially if Parsons stops getting injured and has time to develop.

Goaltending and defense look strong for the foreseeable future.

If we can trim the fat and add to our forward group we are in excellent shape.

Stockton wins 3-2 in Shoot Out vs. San Jose Barracuda. Gawdin with the winner.
Other scorers Froese and Lomberg.
Surprisingly strong game from Jon Gillies.

Only 3 games so far for Gillies but he is rocking a 1.59 GAA and a .932 sv%. Has yet to concede more than 2 goals in any game either.

Yeah, Gillies has been solid so far. That's good to see.

Maybe he has put himself back on the radar. At the very least, the Flames might be able to get a decent return in a trade later in the season if he can keep this up.

I'm not saying he's going to break out or anything, it's still a tiny sample size. But there's nothing unusual about a goalie figuring things out at his age or older.

Can anyone tell me how Philp has looked? I thought he was a shrewd signing but he hasn't shown up on the stat sheet yet. Is he playing decently or does he look over matched at the AHL level?

Tucson beat the Heat 4-3 in OT last night. Zag was in net. Also not sure why 3 Roadrunners got the game stars when we outshot them pretty badly.

Stockton is in Tuscon for a pair of games this weekend, Friday and Saturday.
Since last Saturday 4 out of the next 5 games the Heat play are against the Roadrunners. Likely to be some animosity in these games.

Heat lose 3-2 in a shootout last night. Gillies let in just two of nearly 40 shots, 1.65 goals against average and a .939 save percentage in four games so far.

Heat had 2-0 lead and let it slip away. All 3 stars to the Roadrunners again...strange
