No they don't. Oilers are no good, and they still won't make the playoffs.

Can't deny it. For all the 'weak' schedule talk, they seem to be beating teams flames lose to.
Other than tonight that’s exactly what - 2 teams? And usually the night after the Flames play them.

McDavid and Drai both playing over 27mins tonight. Again. Those saying that this is sustainable for 82 games are delusional.

True, but one of those top 2 players is good enough to sustain that level, if he can stay healthy.

Their d isn't a complete tire fire, and they have got decent goaltending

If mcdavid/Draisaitl keep things up 3 out of every 4 games, and the d/goaltending can do the same. The division is easily theirs.

The rest of the Pacific is highly average. Oilers are highly average too, but have the biggest game breaker in the league.

Agreed..but even if I 100% disagreed with your take, I would've liked your post for the gif alone.

Ugh stupid Oilers..this close to going into the weekend having to spend it with an Oilers fan while they on a 3 game losing streak..now he's gonna be cocky as hell. Dude is already the absolute king of the jersey foul, I can pretty much guarantee he's going to show up to the Heritage Classic in an Oilers jersey on Saturday with us.

As other teams get their stuff together and the games pick up their pace, the Oilers have been playing at their peak. They've still been fading badly over the last little while. Tonight worked out because of two guys. That lack of depth eventually takes over.

By Dec, the Oilers will be wondering how they woke up in the morning at the bottom of the division.

I definitely hope so...

Personally, i hope the overplaying mcdavid and Draisaitl to get out of another high pick is fine by me.

Lol wat? Talk of Edmonton winning the division lol...easily?! WTF they just got beat by the Wild and Jets and didn't score a goal. 2 wins against the west this year.

Where has anyone suggested this is sustainable?

My cousin was going off about how great they ar,e and the steal for neal, on Facebook, I replied, enjoy it now because around after US Thanksgiving, they will be almost out of playoff spot, then they can concentrate on the important things like try helping connor win a scoring title. He never replied, probably deep down knows the truth.
