Backlund will be wishing he stayed home to change the diapers. His LW went from the place goals come to a black hole where pucks disappear.

Talbot's pads are kind of making me remember Eddie Lack's time with the Flames.

Event-specific practice jerseys are a new thing to me (or maybe I haven't been paying attention).

Lack's pads were a tribute to Trevor Kidd.

White, event specific, equipment bags, event specific skate guards and mats as well for this, so slapping a red c on some stock practice jerseys along with a Heritage Classic patch isn’t a stretch, especially as I’m sure those will be auctioned off at some point.

As touched on in the article regarding uniforms and logistics, the Flames having the longest road trip of the year after this game isn’t the greatest of scheduling either, sounds like they have to lug all this extra HC stuff around the Eastern US seaboard for another week and a few days.

Not trying to be a smart ass but can’t they ship that stuff back to Calgary?

Yeah, it's not as if they need to schlepp it around.

Mangiapane - Monahan - Bennett is the ASS Line.

This line does have some pretty serious potential though.

If Bennett can somehow wear off on Monny for intensity he could be the best player on the team.

The guy has an absolute laser of a shot but floats.

Eatbread is also just an overall great player.

Got to the hotel in Moose Jaw (Regina was fully booked) last night, I've seen a bunch of Jets merch in and around the hotel but so far I'm the only one repping the Flames..I have a feeling this crowd is going to definitely be more Jets fans. Definitely was getting chirped at breakfast in my Backlund shirt (wearing a retro white Nieuwy jersey tonight). Should be a good time though! Pumped to check out this new stadium, and no Riders there either..perfect!

Think she's gonna be a bit of a chilly game..nothing like those January Heritage Classics of course...but the wind has been intense. Actually had a brutal sleep from it howling all night, gusts of 60-80km/h today I'm hearing. But beers will fix that.

Enjoy the game, either at home or at the stadium, Go Flames Go!!!

If Bennett and mangiapane play to potential with Monahan, and Monahan steps up as he usually does away from johnny that line could be every bit as good as the first.

If we got hall and stuck him beside Monahan-Bennett it would be crazy

I grew up in Regina and we were more likely to drive to Winnipeg and catch a Jets game than go to Calgary. It was a bit of Winnipeg being closer and family from Manitoba. I do recall cheering for Calgary in 89, but that was a long time ago.

They had a white and red practice jersey with the off white flaming C for the 2011 one as well.

Why wasn’t Regher traded the next day for wearing that hideous headgear?
