He’s had a couple of these this season.
Thought he played with more of an edge against the Canucks too.
Needs to do it more often for sure.

Ryan is the best bottom-six forward this team has had since Conroy at the end of his career

I 100% suspect a lingering groin injury that he's trying to play through.
I don't question Backlund's heart. He's a warrior.

Quine makes jankowski look ok, which has been tough to do this season.

Two close to three chances to clear that sequence and failed. He’s just always afraid to get hit and panics, especially against big teams like the Ducks.

I know lots of people (mostly on HF and Instagram, etc, not so much here) go on about TJ sucking and being the worst dman in the league, but people don't realize how much he does for the team. There was a great write up about him last week on the Flames' site. I know he makes some obvious mistakes, but you don't know what you have until it's gone (ie, the Gio-TJ pairing).
Not trying to be a homer.

I'm way behind, watching on tape, but wanted to comment on this...
I agree 100%. Andersson is really coming along nicely, but it is a different game on the top pair, and he hasn't learned it yet. He hasn't been bad, but the big difference for me is that he neutralizes Giordano because Gio has to stay back.
Giordano-Brodie is a much better pairing.
I would still like to see:
Giordano-Brodie
Hanifin-Andersson
Kylington-Hamonic
because Hamonic can cover for Kylington. And Andersson can continue his development on the 2nd pair, with a quality partner.

This top line needs to be split up. They have spent the majority of their shifts in our zone getting owned by nick Ritchie.
They should be better than this

Watching guys like Quine, Dube, Reider makes me wonder how Jamkowski has lasted this long on an NHL roster
