That's hilarious, Monahan will never drive his own line, and unless you think NHL coaches and blind and stupid whatever line Gaudreau is on automatically will garner the best competition

Weird game. Awful second, one of the worst I have seen

Hanifin was terrible. Set the tone for the game by being walked around. Ordinarily just a bad play, but with a team shutout twice recently and reeling, you can’t gift them time and space. Brutally timed

Hamonic sure can fire a puck wide or hit a shin pad.

I felt bad for Rittich. Goals:
2 breakaways , with the Hanifin controller disconnect and Monahan / Gio gift, weird bounce off Gio’s skate, and a well placed one timer. He made a lot of top notch saves in between those.

I also have a longer term concern about Johnny and crew. The purple gato disappeared last year after the break, and they have struggled since. And it’s not about the purple gato itself, but the total chemistry including everything on and off ice.

At Matthew’s age, I am certain that many of of us had experienced infinitely
more embarrassing stories and efforts. Just not in the public spotlight.

How predictable...Hanifin and Hamonic are the crux of the problem.

not sure what the issue is...but they need to get right asap.

maybe some call ups are required to shake things up a bit

It’s okay when there’s some more snark around which to be fair I think Lindholm does have a bit of edge here and there but it’s just not enough. Soon as Monahan gets the body put on him he’s a floater and Johnny is just too small when the game gets physical. A big center who can hit would be more suiting for him to play with because he’s so dynamic with the puck he can make a lot of mediocre players look good.

It’s no surprise that we lose a lot to teams that play bigger and harder regardless of how they fair against everyone else or where they are in the standings.

Change the lines up, and see what works....because these lines are not atm.
