Thant dirty Helm was lucky he got tossed or he might have to answer to Lucic. |

Also, I loved the contributions of Lucic. If he can put up these kind of games on a somewhat consistent basis, it's pretty much mission accomplished on that trade. The Lucic that showed up is a player the Flames have been missing, and it has also showed a bunch of times already this year that Lucic and Bennett feeds off each other. Those few shifts by that line around Bennets and Ryans goal in the third were fantastic.

Following up on my earlier optimism... There was also no reason for Lindholm to come back in that game. So I'm not reading too much into that.
And for the record, I have no doubt that slash really f'ing hurt. I'm just chosing to believe it didn't look hard enough to cause serious damage.

Makes it easier to enjoy the win.

Stockton plays in San Diego and Bakersfield this weekend. With the Flames' California swing happening, I can see Glenn Gawdin and/or Dillon Dubé being called up.
Let's hope Mangiapane and Lindholm are okay.

The refs didn't have their hands up for any call against Lindholm, but it was announced by the ref when he initially announced the Helm major. If you still have the game on your PVR, you can rewind it to just before the commercial. Ball and Hrudey are talking but you can hear the ref in the background announce something against the Flames before the major against Helm.

The Flames don't go to Detroit until late February. I hope they have long memories.

Great game but i'm not getting too high on this one considering Detroit gave the last 3 teams 5 goals. Don't get too high don't get too low but looking good lots of progress in this game.

If Lucic can play like that even every third or fourth game, it will be such a huge boost to this team. Detroit was down by 1 and pressing when he took over. He even had Bennett playing better after that goal.

Lucic just may play like that more often than you expect

Well that is the first time he has been even close to playing like that and we are 9 games in. So not sure how often it happens. It would be great if he could do it regularly though....huge difference for the team if he does.

Great games from Lucic and Bennett.
Hanifin continues his good play. Whatever was bothering Backlund at the beginning of the year seems to be behind him.

 Rittich is legit.

 Oh, and #### you Detroit.

Man he's brutal. He is a fanblogger with a megaphone not a journalist. Anything anti oilers he says is only because he's pissed off himself. A few years ago when tkachuk was a 19 year old rookie he was calling for him to get bertuzzied after the Brandon Davidson's slewfoot just super unprofessional.

			Flames 5 Wings 1
- Third line of Lucic/Ryan/Bennett leads the way
- Rittich almost nets another shut out
- Powerplay scores twice
- Injuries to Mangiapane and Lindholm add concern
