Good for him, jobs are hard to come by and that's some honest work.

I feel like the media has shamed him enough over this. Do we really have to do it here too?

Everyone loves a "How The Mighty Have Fallen" story but this appears to be a dude helping his friend during the startup of a Tim Hortons franchise. There's no indication that this is a riches to rags story but it seems most outlets are trying to spin it in that direction.

If Crosby and MacKinnon can do it, why not Brashear.

Yeah he's helping a friend. Could be in a managerial role for all we know. He's not that old and may be using this as something to keep him occupied. You could go to a Detroit Tim Hortons and see Kevin Glenn working there (he owns one or two of them) but that doesn't mean he's gone broke.

actually, I believe he did go broke.

I'm hoping he's just working there for something to do and to keep busy instead of it being his primary income.

but with his legal troubles, it may be hard for him to get a job.

makes me respect him that he just doing what he needs to do, if that's the case. not making a big deal of his sirtuation, just doing the best he can like everyone else.

Yeah what a trash piece of writing. Didn’t know it was shameful to hold down a job FFS.

This is in Quebec city where I live and I can confirm that he is helping an ex NHL er who is trying to build his franchise.

Local radio has been attempting to calm the situation but other cities have run with this pretty much bringing up the problems in the past.

Unlike other biggish cities in Canada Quebec city needs workers as we don't have enough workers to fill the openings. If Brass wanted to work, he could find better easily. Classic case of just trying to get clicks.

Guy is awesome on top of that met him twice. Takes the time to talk to the poeple and is super down to earth.

I love that the original article had a picture of Georges Laraque instead of Brashear. Donkeys.

Slowest line in the Tim Hortons world with all the fans wanting to hear NHL war stories. Haha. #### the media this should be a nice story instead of whatever bull#### spin they put on it.

You laugh but Tim Hortons probably pays Crosby and MacKinnon almost as much as the NHL does

Seriously, typical media spinning something good into trash to sell papers. Who needs the truth!

Trumps version of the media isnt correct and misses the mark but sensationalism is a major major issue in media today. Need the bigger more dramatic headlines, gotta beat out the other guy.

How about you just tell the story as it is, get the facts and report them.

I doubt that very much.

Yup. I don't think people realize how much lower Canadian endorsements are vs. the big US brands. At most, I'm thinking Crosby's endorsement is probably around the $1M per year, which is still nice, but a far cry from what Nike would pay Tiger and Lebron, or Rolex would pay Federer.

They pay Crosby in day old, stale, old fashioned plain timbits.

I was genuinely surprised to learn that Brashear played over 1000 games.
