How much is this site worth? fun with #'s...

According to this site, calgarypuck.com's domain is worth $85,749. Ive tried a bunch of different sites, including non-sports sites like google, yahoo, CNN, Youtube, and so far the most expensive domain Ive found is NBA.com, for just over $70 million.
btw MLB.com is roughly $67M, NFL.com is just under $29M....
...and NHL.com is for -$1,710 
...and who says the NHL is lagging behind the rest of those sports in North America?

Cool site, but it says that oilfans.com is worth $90,945.  I guess they have to beat us at something!

This has to be random... The nfl brings in more money than any other sport in the US even if you include the world. I don't know this for a fact, but I do know that no one could attend an NFL game all season long and the teams would still make money because of TV and merchandising deals.

This is all based on traffic... I do some domain business and find this tool very handy. My dad sold xixx.com for $15,000 and it's estimated here around $14,289.

I finally looked at it and it says for sites worth millions that it is actually beyond the scope of leapfish to determine so I am guessing that they kind of guess?

totally agree, it is based on how many people search for it, how much traffic sites get, how short they are and how recognizable they are. the site breaks it down into the categories it rates
