Good thing he actually can play forward and contribute offensively though...unlike your golden 5th year boy who averages about 300th a year.

Now...curious to know what that table you posted means to you.

Cause if I'm reading it right, a line of Czarnik, Mangiapane and Jankowski with Andersson and Kylington on D, and that should be the go to 1st line and d pairing...yes?

Watching hockey off of spread sheets...must be a blast.
Advanced stats are great for analysis over large sample sizes but brutal in smaller cases. This is a perfect example. Some of our worst players (very clearly) are on top of that table lol

A 2-3-1 start certainly isn't out of the realm of plausibility. And this game isn't over, not by a long shot.
Not as terrible as if feels like it has been. But would it hurt the Flames to start sharp every game?

Different rosters, different coaches so you can’t really draw a meaningful conclusion

Except for that they are neither pulling away from nor dropping far behind the pack.

Kinda like now.

I really really want to like Lucic, but c’mon man, do something besides the occasional hit.

Watch that last goal and you will have your answer. He was positioned poorly and he just kind of flailed at it. Reminded me of mid season Mike Smith last year.

Wasn’t Smith always accused of being too deep?

Be prepared to be disappointed. The game passed him by a long time ago. No speed, no hands, not a great package.

No. He was at the top of the crease challenging the shooter. Cross crease pass and a one timer. He was backing in a bit, read the pass and got across pretty quickly

Basically that means you throw an arm and a leg across and if the puck hits you, you are a goaltending genius, and if it misses you, it is a statistically probable outcome

Just get the puck on net. Don’t pass up chances from great spots and don’t fail to execute on breakaways. CGY needs to bear down. They’ve been battling hard. Just break through.

I know Francis was talking him up, but that was the Backlund "Stone Hands" compilation.

I like how the SN central idiots said and now let’s get you back to 3rd period action and then there was 10 more minutes of commercials and intermission.

Bennett always has the same problem. He beats the first defender and then loses it trying to get past the second. Can someone please tell him, "once your past the first guy, pass the puck!"
