I’m guessing it will be Janko and Stone coming out, but we’ll see, haven’t seen who’s coming out yet.

Presumably Stone will come out for Kylington.
The big question is which forward is out? Probably Janko?

It better be Jankowski coming out for Czarnik or I'll start making GDTs.

Janko or Reider.
Either works
Opportunity for Czarnik. There are only so many of them. He needs approach every shift as an opportunity to stay in the lineup.

I think he has. His issues are the same as mangiapane's. They work very hard, but flames stuck playing chip and chase type hockey. Leaving these smaller, not the quickest of players, getting owned/crunched along the boards.
If the flames can get some transition, these guys would be so much more effective.

You know, I was thinking the same thing last night since he and Jankowski had such great chemistry. I began to openly wonder whether Jankowski's struggles have anything to do with his absence.
So I took a quick look at what he's done so far in Washington.
GP-6, G-1, A-2, P-3, TOI: 10:37 (2nd lowest on the team). That's pretty great production considering his minutes.
Hathaway's 3 points outscore anyone on the Flames not named Gaudreau, Monahan, Lindholm, Tkachuk, or Giordano.
Maybe it was the smart move to let him go due to salary cap restrictions, but he's sorely missed in the bottom 6 at the moment. At least we would have a guy that gives a crap bringing the energy every night. His absence is notable so far to start this year.

Has Janko ever been healthy scratched (not counting 2016/17)? Need to light a fire under the guy — get him to start playing with more energy and grit.
Reunite Ryan and Mangiapane while your at it — maybe with Czarnik as the other winger?

Jankowski was scratched once in his rookie season I believe and twice at the start of last season. Pretty sure it was when he came back he started contributing on the PK more

61% of his zone starts have been in the defensive zone and he's at 55.1% corsi for.
Pretty good even without the points.

Good for Hathaway so far. He’s not exactly playing for his next contract so glad he’s off to a good start. Obviously wish we had him vs. Czarnik right now, but it’s a long season.

I made earlier post in another thread saying I thought Hathaway was better than the two candidates to replace him: Rieder or Lucic. Still think so.

I'll be at the game tonight. Sitting in section 120.
Wearing a Jagr jersey. Come say hi.
Go Flames go.

Because people would rather make funny quips to try and draw a few chuckles than post a GDT title that has meaningful information.
