All of the depth forwards aren't playing super great right now. Lucic and Mangiapane have been okay, Ryan and Rieder have been iffy, and everyone else not in the top-5 has been pretty bad.

Four games into the season, it's not a huge concern, especially given that the Flames historically match up very poorly against Dallas, but it would be nice to see guys like Jankowski and Frolik move the needle a bit more.

I think getting powerplays would do a lot to generate that momentum

Hard to expect more from Frolik. Peters clearly doesn’t want to give him much of a chance. Probably best for both if he wasn’t in Calgary this year but I guess there were no takers.

I get the feeling Sportsnet hates the fanbase it supposedly caters to. Sure, we have great announcers in Ball, Leslie & Hrudey but then they run dumb graphics of how bad the Flames have been, how long its been since they scored on someone, how the playoffs went, how Kadri didn't want to leave Toronto * wink * and of course, Francis.

The second line doesn’t finish. They look good but outside of Tkachuk these guys just can’t put it in the back of the net. I’ll give Mangiapane a break for now.
