Put me in the camp of "not fond" of Derek.
Literally some of the worst PBP I've heard in years, I'm honestly still perplexed to this day that we have not replaced the guy. Nothing against him as a person but he doesn't have a voice fit for PBP radio.

I can guarantee there's kids coming out of broadcasting that would be better. Half the 960 could do a better job I feel.

Why are folks so annoyed by the pbp guy being an audio aid describing visually, tge direction of the play?

I feel like I remember this being mentioned in all sports live broadcasts (at least hockey and football by my recollection).

This station in general starting losing me in early 2018. For example, I’ve been awake and listening since 7am this morning, and they’ve talked about hockey once so far, for about 5 minutes, and it’s now roughly 8:30. I’m fine with the occasional food, beer, pillow talk. But I don’t care about the long hype about NFL picks, and sponsors talking about the next event. I get that these am/fm stations pay their employees through commercials, and sponsors. At what point is the entire broadcast just a long advertisement?

I dont' mind Wills. My only criqitue is his goal calls do not get me excited and take too long to tell me who scored. Like it will be

I listen in the states because I don't get much flames stuff here. My only complaint is when they have to plug an ad, it's that pre-recorded girl. Like they hit a button and it's super cheesy. They should just incorporate it into the show with their voices. Just nitpicking though.

Someone should tell their sales and production department that all ads that start with "Hi! I'm so and so", get turned off/tuned out instantly. Nobody cares who you are and what your name is, so stop making all these ad campaigns start like that.

I wonder if Kris Versteeg makes an appearance on the morning show as a PTO seeing as he was cut from the Blackhawks. I know he was doing some TV last year, perhaps he'd consider the morning show. I think he'd be excellent.

'Moving left to right' is far and away the least objectionable aspect of Wills' call.

I would say it’s not objectionable at all. It’s standard for radio PBP guys in hockey and football.
