What irks me about the dating scene right now is most girls I meet that are my age (21) or younger are.... well not interesting to me other than physically (which believe it or not does get tiresome after awhile). Unfortunately most girls who I'd ideally like dating/get into a relationship with (a little older than me) don't really give me the time of day

Been there. A couple years back, I had been dating this guy for a couple years and then he decided to cheat on me and dump me on New Years eve. We weren't engaged though... Difficult to have faith in the opposite sex.

Uhh Yah, I met my wife while I was actually still dating a girl in Calgary. Broke up with that Girl to be with her and 2 months later she moved to Korea for a year to teach English. Two trips there, a lot of webcam and some expensive phone bills and here we are 3 years later married.

Don't worry MissKat you don't find love, love finds you. Also Bars aren't good for finding love just one night stands or STD's

I met my girlfriend on the rooftop patio at Ceili's during stampede...little did I know at the time that A) she was from Ontario, and B) it would blossom into a great relationship.

Many flights, time off, phone calls, etc, we are trying to close the distance, but goddamned it is hard.

I did long distance for a fair bit off and on with my wife (when we were dating). I have some cheezy things that you can do to help out, but you are right, it can be tough.

Well that is a sure thing in Calgary no doubt. If your a woman and single in this city, chances are you will have alot of options. As there are way more men in this city 18-40 yrs old than women.

Calgary is definitely a great place to be a single woman as the numbers are in their favor. If your a single guy, better luck in another city, since you can actually go out and see an equal ratio of guys/girls if not more women. Unlike the sausage fests here!

I didn't think this was true but looks like it is, acording to the last census.

Number of women between the ages of 20-44: 205,775
Number of men between the ages of 20-44: 414,642
