Wherever did you get that ideas entire time I have been countering your assertion that Colorado "clearly dominated possession" in last nigh's game. They did not.
· Shot attempts, all situations: 49%; 50% of the high danger chances (12/12)
I said they dominated it for most of the game and didn't break even until the last 10 minutes on events which is 100% true. Your breaking the stats up by period. I'm looking at it cumulatively across the whole game. Neither of us are wrong. Not sure why your dragging this on and on unless you just enjoy arguing over the internet. Point is they #### the bed so spectacularly from the beginning that they lost the game and they need to play 60 minutes. Nothing new, nothing ground breaking its been the same issue with them for years. Not seeing the point of debate here. Please move on.
I don’t know if possession tracking is an in the moment thing. It is only meaningful when tracked on a cumulative basis.
I completely agree, and maybe "in the moment" was the wrong way of stating it. I was more specifically addressing this chart:
This shows that Colorado dominated the event-share through the first period, and then in the second period things evened out, with the Flames getting the majority of splits in the third. Hence why the Flames had an overall 54% split by the end of the game, which is pretty even.

Most of the game I really wished we had Kadri as our 2nd line center. Too bad that trade never happened and would have made our team better. I think he's a missing piece for a long cup run (assuming he doesn't miss game to suspension).
For the Vancouver game I will be wishing that we signed Ferland. He's a beast.
Kadri and Ferland are 2 legit top 6 players the Flames are missing. After top line and Tkachuk those 2 are upgrades on Backlund, Frolik, Bennett, Ryan, Mangiapane, Czarnik etc.

Interesting. Those 2 guys are making $8 million this year. If you’d moved out Brodie, Jankowski and Frolik you would have had $2 million to spend on depth for the blue line.

Ferland is not an upgrade on Backlund. It isn’t even close. He’s barely an upgrade on Bennett if at all. Kadri, I’d say it’s up for debate whether he’s better than Backlund. Offensively, he’s better- not by a lot, but better. Defensively, Backlund is better. And I think Kadri is a ####ty locker room guy. Seems like a d-bag to me.

So satisfying in slow motion, I love Zadorov's head hitting the glass after the punch.
I just love how he wipes that smug #### eating grin off of his face. Man I am so happy to have Lucic on this team over Neal. My next jersey purchase is our new white retro with Luch on it for sure.

We would have been complaining about this as a cheap shot last year, which it was, but now he is a Flame, so all is well
Zadorov laid a nasty hit and wouldn't answer the bell. For a guy of his stature, should have just fought rather than starring at the ref with a smirk. He's a coward.

I loved it, and it's something I've been saying for years, the flames need a guy who is willing to take the occasional cheap shot, otherwise guys think they can avoid consequence simply by not engaging.
How many times have we witnessed missed calls by the refs? They can't catch everything, so it takes another presence on the ice to maintain a certain level of decorum to the game.
I particularly love Lucic because he's earned a level of respect, both from opposing players and the refs. Quite simply, he's going to be more effective in this role and probably incur less of a consequence(penalties) because of it.
I think it also helps open up the ice and provide a little more room for our players. so while some guys clamour for him to be moved down the lineup, I clamour for him to be moved up.
