I'm almost at my wits end with NHL officiating. I said it a lot last year too, but they have to be the worst in pro sports. They are actively ruining the enjoyment of what should be a good game.

It honestly blows my mind how inconsistent they can be.

They call Backlund for a shove from behind on the puck carrier, Avs score.

Flames score seconds later, followed by this:



Ryan chasing the puck behind the net and crosschecked to the ice, causing a turnover. Suddenly, that's not a penalty because reasons...

I’m all for giving Bennett more ice and a better slot if he is consistently good. But perhaps we can give Peters 60 minutes before whining about player usage/ice time.

Last year, at least early on, peters had a 6th sense on who was feeling it vs struggling, and would alter the lines fluidly as such.

He stopped being as flexible in the latter half of the year. I hope he brings that element back.

Bennett should be on the 2nd line. Don't play Jankowski/frolik.

Tkachuk - Backlund - Bennett
Lucic - Ryan - Mangiapane
