Shapo has significant points to defend this week as he made it to the semi-finals of the Rakuten Japan Open last year. He will play the winner of former world #7 David Goffin and PCB who square off this evening.

She gets the qualifier Brady next. I watched a bit of her match against Keys. She has a big serve but not much else. Keys was an error machine. Terrible footwork.

Shapo will play Goatfin as the Belgian dispatches PCB - It was a crazy match as PCB had a 6-1 4-2 lead when he seemed to hit the wall physically. That said, he had a 5-1 lead in the second set tie-break but couldn't seal the deal. After all that, David delivers a Belgian bagel to PCB in the 3rd set to advance to face Denis.

Another tennis umpire in trouble - Apparently, the ball girl is only 16 years old:
(CNN) - An Italian tennis umpire has been suspended after videos emerged online of him telling a teenage ball girl she was "very sexy."
Gianluca Moscarella, 46, appears to harass the girl during a match between Portugal's Pedro Sousa and Italy's Enrico Dalla Valle in a men's tournament in Florence last week.
"You are fantastic," he could be overheard saying, according to a video circulating online. "Very sexy."
The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) said Moscarella was "immediately dismissed from the tournament when the matter was brought to light, and a full investigation has been initiated.
