they'll probably lose this one, but freaking proud of this team. Coming back from 0-3 at Anfield of all places is an incredible feat and whatever the final result is, those kids can go home with their heads held high tonight.

Well it'll be fun watching this Salzburg team until they are out and then of course gutted in the summer. Hopefully they go on a run like Ajax.

They real question is why in the world is Haaland on the bench to start the game.
Get he was sick on the weekend but seemed fit enough to start.

I'm not sure any strategy that has you down 3-0 only 35 minutes in could be considered as "working".

they get gutted every year, but never seem to drop off ... this summer they lost the manager (Rose) and several key players (Lainer, Samassekou, Wolf, Schlager, Dabbur) and replaced them with extremely young players, yet they seem to even be better than last year.

Nothing like Europa League mostly being unwatchable and UEFA think "We need another competition". Hopefully they amp up the gimmicks for Conference League.

good to have youngsters like Gomes, Greenwood and Williams on the field, but hard for them to have impact when veterans like Fred, Matic and Mata play like absolute ####. Sad to see the latter two at this stage of their career and think about how good they used to be.

Zero shots on target so far for United and I think I saw they had a whopping two touches in the Alkmaar box. If you're going to be this awful, why not play the U23 team, surely they can't be worse.
