Tom's is actually, if you can believe it or not, generally the same if not less then Boston pizza in price. And for that price, you are getting FRESH ingredients. Gauranteed. The thing about Boston Pizza, is that they get all their vegetables, sauces and pizza doughs through pre-constructed packaging and factory processed ingredients. Tom's is much healthier just based on the fact that all of its ingredients are pre-cut in the warehouse in the back at the Mcleod location. I remember being on warehouse duty. All of their cheese, meats, and most of their vegatables come whole, and are then portioned correctly in the back. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this correctly, but it makes a big difference in freshness.
If you'd like any other information, let me know.

BP is normally where I order from so thank you for comparing it to them.
I guess Saturday durring the game is as good a time as any to give them their shot.

So what is the story?

I don't know the whole story. I remember working one day and looking on the city map in the back part of the kitchen. The location of Bob's on the map had a skull and crossbones drawn on it. I asked what the deal with that was. The story I got had something to do with Bob and Tom being partowners together in a Tom's. At some point Bob managed to find a way to legally take over the location. Tom and him had a fight and then Bob went his own way. Too bad none of the workers were willing to tell me the specifics, when I brought it up, the veteran workers looked like there was a death in the family.

The good thing about Boston Pizza is their tomato sauce. I find it quite unique.

I've lived here my whole life and have have not had a better pizza in Cgy than Tom's.
Best pizza anywhere would have to be slices on Mill ave at Arizona State University.

pretty good pizza at toms...if you like thin crust. as mentioned by previous posters, the toppings are top quality. it does seem though that theres less cheese becuas they put all the toppings on top, otherwise great pizza, but they do seem to have some wierd names for the pizzas

Just one other question.
I was peruzing through the online menu and noticed that the prices changed when I chose Pickup vs Delivery.
How does the tip situation work with Toms - are the drivers given the extra or what?
Normally I work the tips using the following:
1st time 10%
2nd time 15%
3rd time + an all other times 17-20%
This is of course based on friendliness vs quality. I dont order from a pizza joint a second time if the first is bad. Example for BP, I call the same place and always ask for the same delivery guy - if he isnt working then I dont order - pizza delivery persons are very very very important.

Try the Oddessy special, so much **** on there, and it'll cost you only $20 for a large. Where other Large pizza's are like $25 and are the equivelent of a piece of cardboard, a drop of sauce and dried out cheese....

I went there a few years back, cant really remember the pizza, but whoa man, its quite the dingy place. Still looks like it from the outside.
Ill have to try it again sometime when Im all grubby. lol

The only pizza that I would order from there would be the Tropical Chicken. Alfredo sauce in place of the regular pizza sauce. Sofa king good. But as a bitter former employee I try to avoid going to BP's.

I used to drink a LOT at the Screech & Schooner in Forest Lawn.....
The owner used to keep a Guitar and amp behind the bar for those "in the mood to play a few"
It was great to get an all meat pizza delivered to the bar when you are emptying the bar out of Screech & Coke.
Or get one for the drive home in the cab with the driver who doesn't know where he is going......
Toms Pizza Rocks...
Honorable mention to Partners Lounge in Ogden as well.......

Um, two things.
(1) That's a very slow digestive tract you have.
(2) Actually. please don't post pictures of that.

My girlfriend lives on the other side of the city, and she LOVES this pizza since I first got one for us to share.
Awesome pizza from this place, and not a terrible price.
My favorite is the westgate special.

I ordered Tom's House of Pizza one time and was unimpressed. When the pepperoni and salami were sliced they forgot to remove the packing skin so every bite I took resulted in me having to fish the skin out of my mouth afterwards. Disgusting. If such a detail as that cannot be done correctly then I'm not willing to take another chance on them.

I had one for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was good (looked way different than those). I would get it again, but wouldn't make a special trip.
