Because red socks look terrible with it.

Would hope so. The socks stripes don't match otherwise.

Drool. Just gorgeous. Can't believe it's been a quarter century since those beauties have been worn.

Bennett in that white jersey looks like a player pulled straight from the 80's.

I love it.

It’s definitely the grainy shot, and the angle and shadows which hide the yellow on the collar that breaks up the red, and because of that, but it really highlights the shoulder yolk looking too big or unfinished.

If they do a retro inspired white jersey as the new set, it needs some thin finishing trim around the red yolk, or, have no yolk at at all.

Yeah, the white jerseys they're wearing don't even have numbers on them yet. I'm sure they just had them for the players to pull on to get a couple of head shots.

You can see a few hanging over the boards beside the green screen.

Yoke. They're not wearing eggs.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by that heavy yellow high in cholesterol yolk of slavery.

The yoke is no joke. It turns a solid jersey into a brilliant one.

One of the reasons I never hated the white pedestal jerseys, and would prefer them to the current whites, is because they kept the red shoulders.

I like the stouter-width, shorter-length red yokes on these more than the originals. It's a small, but noticeable detail. Maybe it's because protective shoulder pads are bigger now than in the 1980s.

NHL 20 got its seasoning opening content update, including alternate jerseys.

The Flames Heritage Classic set is not one of them.

So are they using the regular red and white for the other nights? I thought they had gone full retro red this year for home games.
