Laguna was a great race. Still surprised how far back the Indy cars have to run as well. Even they get pretty affected by the loss of downforce if following too closely.
REMINDER...Russian GP is Sunday...deadline is Friday midnight!!

McLaren set to switch to Merc engines, leaving Renault with no customer teams. Amid reports they’re losing money that could be bad news for their future in F1.

I forgot all the Red Bulls are taking grid penalties. Ver is not likely to podium without some luck.

Is it me or have McLaren been sneaking back into prominence this year. And what's up with William's? They need to get back into this.

I’m glad someone agrees with me that the current safety car restarts are kinda dumb. I hate it that the lead driver gets to arbitrarily decide when the race restarts.
According to the broadcast Ross Brawn wants to switch to an Indy style restart and have them accelerate at the green flag. Makes way more sense than the current system.

Well that was a big letdown. Seb retiring ruined he race. Not his fault but still sucked all the life out of the race. Agree with Di Resta, they should eliminate pitting under VSC.

Indy/Nascar style restarts the leader still gets to decide when to go, he just has to decide by a certain point.
I do think they need to make a change, but going to a double file restart in F1 is insane. They is so much debris off the racing line to make that a possibility.
They would likely have to move the start finish line to the front of the grid at some circuits.

True. I guess I’d just be happy with shortening the allowed restart zone and have it be on the start/finish straight. No more gunning it 3 corners before the start/finish straight.
And not that it’s a major issue but I’d put in strict rules on dummying the restart.

How has Ferrari not fired their entire strategy team yet? Every race they find a new way to screw it up.
