Do teams still pay the other team, something like $50k when they claim one of their players off waivers?

I am ok with Parsons going to the ECHL if it means he starts most nights. That way Parsons can get starter time in the E and Zag can get starter time in the A.

Parson's 3rd year Pro though, how many goalies get to the show when playing most of their games, or even starting in the ECHL in their 3rd year of pro hockey?

It should be Parsons and Zag battling for the net in Stockton this season.

Lots of goaltenders have been in the ECHL at the age of 22. A recent example is Jack Campbell.

Its happened, my question was how often.... little known fact about Jack Campbell, he is the highest selected goaltender in the NHL entry draft in the last 13 years... ridiculous amount of talent and drive. I would say he would be an exception to a few rules. Theres a couple goalies who have spent their 3rd+ pro season in the ECHL and had more then a cup of coffee in the NHL. My thoughts are he's better served playing behind better players, facing better players. But at this point you could say he hasn't necesarily earned it so its just what I think will help him develop best.
