Mike was saying somebody made a Steve Armitage Soundboard. That should be pretty funny.
I didn't hear the link but Mike did say he would try and get a link on the Fan's website.

A friend of mine made the soundboard. For now you can find it here:
http://members.shaw.ca/schnee/arms/arms.htm
He is going to post it at another site soon.
We are always doing the Armitage bits for laughs. At a Stamp - MTL game this summer Steve was on the side-lines. So, we started with:
MONTREAL!
TOE BLAKE! CRESCENT STREET! POUTINE! THE ROCKET! MITSOU! BON HOMME! PETER DALLA RIVA! THE BIG O! GINO VANELLI!
People in our section knew the joke, and started adding their own Armitages. He must think people in CGY are nuts.

Ive heard the Armitages, I just don't find it funny, its not a good impersonation at all. If that's the joke, then it flew over my head, but it doesn't sound remotely like him. If you want a good one, I wish I knew how to post audio clips that i have on my computer, but Peter Schaad, he produces the morning show for the Team 1040's sister station, 93.5 QMFM. He's one of those guys who can do bang on imitations of pretty much anyone, and he does comedic bits for the Team1040 and does a killer Armitage.

I think that this is the best impression that Mike does. I remember him taking calls on the best broadcaster when he was with the team. When "Steve from Winnipeg" called in and started off with "Rounded back. Hulking Shoulders. He could go!". I was crying I was laughing so hard!

You are missing the point. He's not trying to sound exactly like Armitage. The fun is in how absurd it is.

One of my favorite clips he plays is "What if Stevie Wonder played goal..."
As soon as those goal horns go off, I'm laughing my ass off.

I just Pm'd hulkrogan and he is gonna post the clip of my guy at the station doing Armitage. It's a comedic bit that he did during the Olympics and also has impersonations of David Pratt and Brian Williams. The bit may not be very funny to some, but the impression is dead on.
