Edmundson was very inconsistent and even bad at times last season. Not a huge surprise to see the Blues move on from him.

Faulk should be good for the Blues PP, which was bad in the playoffs

Yeah, this is a really solid trade for St. Louis. He's 27 and adds to a pretty strong back end that St. Louis has. The 7 years is maybe a year too long but overall a good contract too.

Going price for Faulk at the trade deadline would have likely included a 1st or 2nd.

It's a solid deal but I wonder if this deal was made last year if people would look at Faulk minus 94 in past 5 season and 40ish points per year as a win for Carolina getting a player selected in first round?

If we moved Brodie for depth dman and good prospect I'd be happy.

Hart to argue with consistent double digit goals and 35 points every year but the back half of this extension could be iffy.

Bokk is a right handed RW, who has been a no-brainer selection for the German team in junior international play for three years. Edmundson is solid depth.

All for Faulk, whom they weren't going to re-sign anyway, and had become expendable. Good for the Canes, and the Blues are heavy into win-now.

Neither team got fleeced, but I like it for Canes more. If you can get this package for Brodie, you do it.

Good trade for the hurricanes as well as a good pickup by St. Louis. Looks like a win-win trade at first glance.
