Is Czarnik still a "young player"? He will soon be 27-years-old, has over 100 games of NHL experience, and has been playing pro for five years.

Not sure why some are so quick to dismiss him, prime candidate to be one of those guys who becomes really good some place else if we get rid of him.
This is exactly what a whole bunch of Boston Bruins fans said last summer when Czarnik opted to sign a UFA deal with another team.

Smith was also great in the POs.

Thing about Czarnik, he's got a skill set that everyone thinks they can exploit better than the previous team. He's been through this once in Boston already. His production over 49 games for the Bruins a couple years ago looks a lot like last year for the Flames.

...and have your finger poised over the mute button for any whistle and in arena audio. Hopefully they have fixed the levels, going from quiet Wills to INSANELY LOUD ARENA GUY was super jarring.

Yeah, I can't wait to see Dube on the top line.

If there is a desire to move Lindholm to C, IMO, the best candidate for the top line is Dube. They need someone cerebral, with a solid 200 ft game, and Dube is all that. I am not sure that he is ready this year, but if he were, the Flames' forward depth would take a huge leap forward by moving Lindholm to the second line:

Gaudreau - Monahan - Dube
Tkachuk - Lindholm - Bennett??
Jankowski? - Backlund - Frolik
Mangiapane - Ryan - Lucic

I also think Pelletier is a future candidate for the top line. But if Dube could make the jump, this team is REALLY deep up front.

The plan is for Gillies to play the whole game tonight.

Only fair, Zags has had a game and a half i think already.

Either way, the battle is between these two IMO.

No, it's the promotion guy that goes

"Alllllright sections 201 and 202!! We got a free Oil Change from Minut Lube here for the loudest fans in the house, so GET LOUD!!!"

From Wills, to that.

Yeah, the TV broadcast is much better

I used the Flames website feed on iPhone then airplay to Apple TV but for some reason every few minutes the airplay would drop

I hope they use their YouTube channel as it’s a native app on Apple TV

I dunno what his name is, but he runs all the fan promotional stuff while Beesley has emcee duties.

Off the top of my head it's the stuff like the Jugo Juice / Tim Hortons memory games, Family Feud, coordinating free prize handouts by the ice girls. He also does the play by play for whatever intermission entertainment there might be - shootout challenge, atom scrimmages, sumo hockey etc.

Speaking of Steve Strachan... I just googled him and apparently he's a realtor.

He also has this haircut:

Going to the game tonight. 2nd game this week. Feeling pretty spoiled! Can’t wait to scope more of the PTO’s and see what Dube can do on the first line. GFG!
