There's a pretty good chance Rudolph is better than Eli so not sure why the Steelers would waste their time. This year is a writeoff for them.

Garrett has roughed Siemian twice now, and looks like he injured him too.

Oh boy Semien's ankle I am certain is 100% broken that looked very very bad.
Edit: Maybe not, must have been dislocated. I thought it was broken the way it was flopping around.

That ankle is toast. foot isn't supposed to point that way. Will the Jets get 1 first down the rest of the game?
HOLY crap!!! he walked off the field???!!! I'm impressed!

Browns are dumb. Bad penalties. Can't figure out Jets have to run with Bell now.

TRADE: Steelers are trading a 2020 first-round pick to the Dolphins for DB Minkah Fitzpatrick, league sources tell ESPN.

I don't understand this trade for the Steelers. Fitzpatrick is a very good player but this looks like it's going to be a top 10 pick and a great opportunity to pick Big Ben's successor.
Quote:
The Steelers' 2020 pick has a 29% chance to be in the top 5 and 62% chance to be in the top 10, per FPI.

Lol what are they doing trading a first? Theyre 0-2 with no QB. You don't trade your pick.

The disaster potential of this is off the charts. Ben could retire and Rudolph could suck and they could be giving away a franchise QB with a top 5 or so pick. I guess credit for the balls.

Help, save, whatever.

Bills at 2-0.
This team is good. Elite defence. Solid running and passing game.
One of the easiest schedules in the league.
This team will make the playoffs.

holy cow. If there's one team that never makes that kind of trade, it's Pittsburgh ... but I guess that changes when jobs are on the line.
I would have loved this before Ben went down. Steelers need a top FS badly and Sean Davis is an upcoming UFA, plus he also suffered a torn labrum on Sunday ... so Minkah fills a huge need and the Steelers have not exactly been good when it comes to drafting DBs in the last decade (or sign them as FA, for that matter).
But with Ben down and at 0-2, this could be a disaster. They are banking on Rudolph balling and the D getting their #### together, because right now it looks like that pick could easily be a top 8 pick, maybe even top 5. Their hopes in Rudolph plus Ben intending to come back probably means they wouldn't have taken a QB anyway, but still, that's a very valuable pick. I really like Minkah, but he better be worth it.
With the acquisition of Minkah, Butler now has 8 former 1st round picks as starters and two more as backups. If he can't make this work, this man should never get another chance at coaching at the NFL level.

Actually I thought that one was a bad call too, but it wasn't the play I was referring to. I think it was Goldman who hit Flacco similarly to the Chubb hit that was also penalized. At least they were consistent.
