I thought Karlsson had a couple nice, simple masks:spoilers for size
and this Hiller one was great (except for the backwards flaming C on the opposite side), although I dont think he ever got to wear it in a game with the retro jerseys:

And I didn't like him as a Flame, but this mask was incredible:

I was right there with ya, but I’m out on any mask with ears.

...the best goalie in franchise history definitely didn’t spend years wearing blank white pads.

Most importantly, white pads look dope. Talbots gear is kinda cool with the subtle stripes. If he had a noteworthy mask it would be a solid set.

Those pads were lame and unbefitting of the man or his mask. Kiprusoff's gear post lookout until Brent got here was outstanding.

Funny you say that. I find a bit of correlation between his performance and how badass his gear looked.

Vezina year I believe, with original mask:

Though I kind of liked these too:

OK, so that was a great performance by Talbot. maybe the best goaltending performance so far this year.
I think Rittich is still 1 or 1A. But do you give Talbot the next start?

Start Talbot next game so you can give Rittich the Florida game and then the HC against the Jets. This way Rittich stays warm going into next weekend.

I think that I might. Rittich has never played a game v. Washington, and while Talbot has had mixed results in several games against the Capitals he was really good yesterday, and I think has earned a home start.

Nope, keep rolling with Rittich. He's been a number 1 guy this year and one bad game, where he was far from the worst player, doesn't change the rotation for me.

Peters has already changed the rotation once - he gave Rittich the start which was intended for Talbot after the shutout of the Canucks.

I guess this begs the question of how the rotation looks in the first place. I believe that the team is targeting around 50–55 starts for Rittich, and that means getting Talbot into more games more frequently.

I think 50 should be our theoretical limit for Rittich this year, keeps him rested for playoffs as well.

Cam proved last night that he deserves a crack for at least 30 games this season. He was dynamite.
