We're presenting the cup at the end of the year. Didn't really know who was going up until the last minute so better to leave it in Calgary in safe hands.

We have a ticket exchange thread on our Facebook group. Might be your best bet.

Where will the cup be housed over the winter? With the FSSG?

If anyone sees me at the game feel free to say hello. I'll be wearing a flames hat and a plaid Jacket.

Ledgerwood money on the penalty, 1-0!
The Edmonton defender had no business making that slide tackle, easy call for the PK.

Red card, well deserved. Of course the manager is seeking out the player to be high fiving the player.

Wildrose Cup is ours, bitches! Looking forward to drinking beer out of the trophy on October 19.
Also, I love the digs by Ledgerwood at the size of the crowd last night. "I thought there would be more fans out for a big game like this."
FC Edmonton is no good.

CPL's doormat Valour FC are down 2-0 to Forge and it's only 15 minutes in.

I can understand why fans in Victoria, Edmonton, Winnipeg, York and Halifax would stay away from CPL games for the rest of the year. It's a two club race and the other five are nowhere close to the same standard.
I'd prefer stadiums to be full but I get why attendances are starting to sag in certain markets.

The playoff format is bad, they'd be better off having one long season, end it at the end of September then have teams #2 and #3 play off the first week of October afterwards meeting #1 in the final in the 2nd week. It is hard to even keep up enthusiasm for Cavalry, this fall season matters not at all for them.
There is every chance of terrible weather once you start hitting late October anywhere the CPl plays except maybe in Victoria. Plus by ending in mid-October you're minimizing the overlap with hockey season.

If a team wins both seasons they should be champion full stop. Fall season is meaningful either way then.
Also imagine Cavs winning both halves and then losing the "championship" on a bad call or penalties. Would make the regular season look like a joke and cpl like a mickey mouse league Imo.

^ Since we're going to get Forge, a bad call affecting the championship is more likely than you think.
