So, apparently walking into a Walmart with a gun, 100 rounds of ammo, and wearing body armour is so common place now that even reporting on it is sensationalism.

That's so screwed up. I've made it no secret I like guns and have several but I couldn't imagine carrying them around in public thinking it's perfectly normal.

Walmart Inc. is removing displays and signs of violent video games in its stores in the wake of two deadly shootings at its locations in Texas and Mississippi in recent weeks.“We’ve taken this action out of respect for the incidents of the past week, and this action does not reflect a long-term change in our video game assortment,” Walmart spokeswoman Tara House said.
The move comes after Walmart Chief Executive Officer Doug McMillon this week said that the company will be “thoughtful and deliberate in our responses” to the shootings, which left 22 people dead in El Paso, and killed two employees at a store in Southaven, Mississippi.
The company has no plans to stop selling guns or ammunition, spokesman Randy Hargrove said in an interview on Sunday, a day after the El Paso shooting.

Yeah, Nothing of substance. Nothing that would affect their bottom line.

I'm a competitive shooter and fire more rounds in a week than most people do in a lifetime, and couldn't agree with you more.
My guns belong in my safe, at the range, in the bush for hunting or personal protection. I don't want to live in a society where I have to carry something on me at all times in the city to feel safe.
If my wife has to have a pistol in her purse to go to Costco, then you know where you live sucks, IMHO.
