Some Skill System Stats

As requested, here are some stats from the skill system. The member list shows up as messed up and I'd like to fix it eventually.

So far there have been 253 incidents of skill given. Of those 142 were positive and 111 were negative. Negative points are weighted less so a single positive tends to count for about two negatives.

So far 84 users have a total above zero.

56 have a total below zero, and of those only 13 have three or more negatives.

Only two people are at zero after going positive or negative.

There's only been 10 posts which have resulted in multiple skill feedback from different givers (which is good since we want it spread out, and the software can't prevent or even inform of multiple skill for the same post).

As for the question of the rest that are gray, on the stats on the front page of the forum it has a part: " Threads: 35,560, Posts: 708,518, Members: 5,405, Active Members: 2,622".. Members 5,405 is total registered while active is people who have posted in the last year. But of that 2622 there's maybe 3-400 that really actively post on a day to day basis.

I didn't break it down by subforum, but I don't think anything is (or is intended ) to be given from the buy/sell forum. The OT and other sports forums are still fair game though.

For the record, I insulted a friend/member simply to get out of the grey area...I felt insignificant. I tried for red for a few months, but realized it was of no use.

I guess now you'll just have to be careful not to post anything of value - otherwise you might just go right back to grey.

Can you explain what the different colors mean?

Think of black/grey as netural. You haven't been rated either good or bad. You're in the middle. Nothing wrong with that.

There is also a triple blue floating around (we'll see how much longer).
