Some idiot battle-rammed a KFC and here we are focusing on a middle-aged angry dude in an SUV.

Forest for the trees folks.....forest for the trees....

The way the article read I thought it was the same guy.

If it hadn't happened so close to the other incident, I don't think "man yells at cops" makes the headlines otherwise.

No, the driver of the car that went through the KFC is probably a kid who watched too many Fast and Furious movies and thought he could drift on a turn driving at 100 clicks....

I would actually argue, it wasn't when he bought it, it was when he decided to put it on that day.

That intersection is a 3way stop now. They might have not noticed the sign and had to swerve to avoid someone who had the right of way.

They were apparently traveling eastbound on 17th and failed to negotiate the left turn onto 12th. There is no scenario under which they should have made that turn without stopping, since the intersection is open north/south and there are no active traffic lights for eastbound traffic (last time I made that turn, at least, the lights were covered up). It seems far more likely they were distracted/speeding and didn’t realize there is a giant hole in 17th ave after 12th st and had to swerve left to avoid ramming into the construction. Either way, absent some medical issue, this has the appearance of criminally negligent driving.
