Yeah, she could walk out with someone, she could also walk out by herself. I am not saying stalk the girl while she's working then jump out from the shadows and ask her out. I was just trying to give you another option because you didn't like the idea of asking her out at work. Either way, you don't like that idea, then just bite the bullet and ask her out at work. I don't think it will be as big of a deal as you might think. If you really feel bad about it though, just apologize for asking her out at work but you didn't know any other way to do it without seeming creepy.

I think the creepy factor only comes in if you wear a Speedo for your swim. Otherwise, just ask. Make it casual - like coffee or lunch for a first date, and then if she says no thank you, it's no biggie.
|
Re: complication, yeah, I just wanted a quick gauge of opinion to see what others thought, I've been planning on it for about a week now, so going to do it regardless.
Ummm... What else would I swim in? hehe, j/k, they're the speedo shorts

Wrong. Immature, foolish girls like those kind of men. Fun, fearless females like honesty, and refreshing thoughtfulness. The girls a life guard - she's made a commitment to save peoples lives...I'm thinking she falls into the latter category, not the first.

Well in Texas 17 is legal. It's not the illegality of it but its just weirds me out when I think about it. When I went out for my first beer, this girl was listening to N'Sync and writing her pink diary. Isn't the legal age in Canada like 14? That's absolutely ridiculous....

but did you buy her a drink? that's gotta be illegal.
and for canada i think the age is now 16 but i'm not sure... i don't pay too much attention to it - i usually stay away from the jr high school while picking up women.

I don't have a problem with it, which is why I came to ask, is it creepy? Because I don't think creeps think they're creepy, just like morons don't think they're morons, or Oilers fans think they're cool.
I was curious if it was inappropriate, from the reaction I've gotten it seems to be a pretty normal thing, so that's cool - guess I'm not entirely creepy.

I think I would be in the clear if I bought her a drink because she obtained entrance to the bar with a fake ID, thus misrepresenting her age...

I think you should man up and ask.
Since you're concerned about her being at work you can use the line I used on a few occasions with my now wife:
"What time do you get off?"
<wait for reply>
"Can I watch?"
Of course by then we were friends and I was only 1/2 joking...but its tried and true!

my 2 cents.
go swimming in a pair of white shorts and then get out of the pool, walk up to her and ask her if she likes what you bring to the party? If she says yes ask her out, if she says no rinse and repeat...this time in the hot tub

Oh. Well then, no. I don't think it would be creepy. But you may have to convince her that you aren't just asking her out as a matter of convenience or because you just happen to see her in a bathing suit and thought you would try hitting on her.
Either way, good luck.

Which I realize only adds to the creepy value of the story.

What would really make your story creepier is if your friend's name is Paul Raisen.

Paul was quite the ladies man. When you own a zoo you don't have problems attracting the ladies.
