I'm sure she could fill airtime on the radio, but if an improved entertainment experience is what they are looking for, they better look elsewhere. The only color Cassie brings to the game is beige. I find her to be the dullest media personality in hockey now that Charlie Simmer has retired.

I would also interject that a lot of CBS Sportsradio is pretty weak on the whole.
I would rather listen to in-house best-of shows from other Canadian affiliates for an hour a day instead of Rome or that night time guy with the voice that makes me want to scratch my eyes out.
They do a 'week that was' segment for the 960 that is played on the weekends, so I'm assuming that every Sportsnet channel does the same. It would be interesting to hear some small market stations on Monday through Wednesday, and then end with Vancouver on Thursday (three days worth) and Toronto on Friday (four days worth). It would actually cost them nothing, and I'd bet they get some interesting interviews with a different perspective.

I totally agree that the station needs some diversity and to me that's not it in the staff. The Flames are great, and let's face it, that's why we're all here posting. But there are times of the year where there's no hockey. It wouldn't kill them to have some people hosting these programs who know about other sports and have conversations about them as well. I don't think they need segments focusing entirely on MMA or Tennis or Soccer or whatever, but how about a call-in show? I think one of the reasons that QR77 (or whatever it is now) is successful is because they have hosts who are thought provoking and they have people call in and offer up their own hare-brained schemes.
And before I get totally flamed, I know Overtime can be trying at times. But there are lots of topics and plenty of different sports that peoe could discuss. It doesn't all have to be Flames talk to be interesting and that might make the callers a little more diverse as well.

Not that I listen anyways. It's an 8 minute commute for me.
However I will push hard for a Simmer/Campbell team up for you guys in the morning!
