Hitting on women thread
Just had a question...
Was thinking about asking out some girl, however I didn't know if it was appropriate or not.
When isn't it appropriate?
I've made it a rule to never ask out or hit on serving staff. Waitresses, etc. They're job is to pretty much milk you for a tip, and plenty of them will stoop to some pretty skanky antics (not all, but some), so by default I'd never hit on one.
But what about... Hmm, trying to think of an example without giving away my situation.
Someone you see often, will see them again, and again, and again.. Not a work colleague, lets say... A lifeguard at the pool you swim at?
So assuming you chat to them regularly, they're friendly, you think they'd probably say yes.. But is it wrong to do that to someone at their work? I wouldn't have a problem being shut down. It's happened before, will happen again, it doesn't make me feel uncomfortable, but if it did for the other person?
Anyway..
Similar situations anyone?
Funny stories?
Women? Opinions?

You actually WANT to ask a woman out?
My advice would be to drop everything you are doing right now and go see your doctor, because I think you need your head checked!

I almost did that once, but she had face piercings. I told the girl that I'm seeing right now I didn't drive or have a car the first night I met her.

If you like this girl, and want to go out on a date, best advice is to man up and just ask her, otherwise you might never know if shes thinking the same thing.

Ask her for coffee or something like that....that way if she says no you can always take comfort in the fact you didn't ACTUALLLY ask her out; you were just being friendly
That or get her drunk. Liquor always loosens up the ladies, and when you try to jam your tongue down her throat and she slaps you in the mouth, you can blame our friend Jack Daniel.
Moral of the story: ALWAYS HAVE AN OUT!

It all depends on where she works and also if she treats you differently than everybody else.
I would definitely just do it. It won't change too much of your life if she says no. If she acts awkward around you after that then she isn't worth worrying about.
I also don't hesitate to ask out waitstaff either. Well depending on the situation there are bars I frequent where I get to know the staff pretty well in that situation I don't mind asking out a waitress, however if I've never been to the place before than I probably wouldn't do it unless I was really drunk.

my advice:
don't ask the girl out at all...take the money you were going to spend on that date to score a moderately priced hooker and some blow.

Well, this was a quicky growing thread!
Not worried about her saying no, like I said, been there, doesn't bother me.
fotze, no, not fat, jerk And are you serious? Never asked out a girl? Wow!
Situation wouldn't allow me to be drunk - remember my analogy..
My question more is, when is a guy creepy vs. just normal hitting on?
I chat to her, she chats to me, so I guess it wouldn't be creepy.. I think.. If I was to be able to drink, then I could pretty much garuantee the creep factor would be increased 100 fold
Not a waitress, so I can't deny her a tip
Eh, I'll just ask..
I'll give an update after.. Probably thursday..

It does depend on where she works. I worked at a lingerie store and I got hit on by men and it always seemed very creepy to me. I never really took it too seriously either. I just figured being in a room full of ladies undergarments maybe put ideas in their heads and they got kind of flirty as a result.
If you are really concerned about asking her out at work for fear of getting her in trouble with her boss or seeming insincere or whatnot, wait for her to get off work and ask her then. Bottom line though, if you like her and you think she likes you then just ask.

Why can't you give the specifics?
I say ask her out, unless like others have said there is some weird situation/setting - e.g. like Eastern Girl has said.
That is, unless it is someone on CP

Heh, awesome! Those guys rule!!
Not worried about getting her in trouble, it just, well, in the sense I think that it's unfair to put someone in a possible akward situation when they're at work.
However trying after work would involve some definite being creepy. That's like hanging around, waiting, then hoping they leave alone, then jumping out at the from behind a dark corner
