Wow. Having him remain an RFA at the end of this is the best part. Well, the dollars work too. Good deal.

Yupp, after this contract if he signs a one year deal he will be UFA.

$7.4M to sign Tkachuk, Rittich and Mangy. There has to be a trade coming...Frolik for an (underwhelming) pick is my guess.

Nice. A good show-me deal and he'll still have arbitration rights when it ends.

Very nice deal. Hopefully Bennett can take another step and get a nice raise after this contract.

Frolik for picks and maybe a Stone buyout?? I’m doubting more and more that we deal Brodie this offseason.

Solid playoff numbers there for Bennett; I think the sky is the limit still with him here’s hoping he takes a big step here next season and pushes his way into the top 6/bigger minutes!

Depending on what they’re asking, could Jake Gardiner and Justin Williams be making a trade hard?

I would have preferred more term, but that was a bit of a pipe dream, and at least he's still an RFA at the end of this deal.

Very true, still some big fish to land in the UFA markets could me potential suitors for Brodie and Frolik could be waiting to see their fate in the UFA pool.

Williams
Gardiner
Maroon
Hutton
Thornton
Marleau
Brassard

Still some names though it seems obvious Thornton/Marleau are destined for SJ and Williams for Carolina (I think he would be such a sneak good add for our 2nd line on a one year deal but know it’s doubtful)

Maybe once a few more things fall into place in the UFA market we see some more movement on the trade front.

If Frolik is moved I could see Tkachuk - Backs - Bennett doing really well together.

Call it the 3B line instead, with Tkachuk being a real Bastard out there.

He better have a good year or Treliving will trade him to Edmonton for Kassian.

Yup, my personal dream scenario is the Flames trading Frolik for a pick, buying out Stone, signing Tkachuk, Mangiapane, and Rittich, and then signing Williams for between $3M-$4M per year. Thus, I think other teams will want to try just signing Williams or one of the other forwards before giving up an asset for Frolik. It’s the same with Brodie and Gardiner.

Bennett worked really well with Backs before Chuckles came. Could be a great fit for all 3.
