Well I hate this. Huge fan of the guy.
From a less emotional perspective, he’s already a high risk signing. The Canucks are probably most likely to sign him because he was most dominant / memorable in games against them. He hasn’t quite replicated that dominance since (although still an effective, offensive player).
Ultimately I think he’s a good player that will make their team better, but there’s a reasonable chance this contract is going to be a mistake for them too.
