Of course DeChambeau would swoop in and steal an amazing storyline, lol.

What an amazing tournament, hey? Two new guys that played high school golf together just made names for themselves in the same tournament. That eagle was really cool to watch.

Adam Hadwin has actually looked so solid this season. He's 37th in the Fed Ex cup without a win. Only 11 guys ahead of him without a win. Cool to see Conners at 28, as well, although I think Hadwin is the more solid player overall.

Hadwin has looked great this year.

I think DeLaet is supposed to be back from injury soon.

Should have 6+ canadians on the tour next season.

Hadwin ended last year in the 30s as well. It would be nice to see him have a strong finish and get into the top 30 so he can get into the Masters/WGCs and other majors next year. He's spent a lot of this year just outside the fedex points and world rankings cutoffs for most of the big tournaments.

I think that's it for David Hearn's chances to make the playoffs. I had high hope for him this week. Usually plays well at the Job Deere.

British Open in Norn Iron!

Rory unable to control his nerves and having a home turf nightmare.

Snowman on the first and bogey on the third. +5 after three on the course where he smashed the record when 16.

Rory's odds went from 9/1 to 51/1 in three holes. He's been basically irrelevant at the majors for several years now. After his fourth he looked a good bet to get to ten majors, now he looks unlikely to get to five.

Rory has 10 top 10’s in last 19 majors, 5 top 5’s. A long shot to win another major? Not in my opinion. Way too much talent there.

He will still win a few more.

David Duval was -2 after 4 holes.

He was +11 after 7 holes.

He also has four MCs and a lot of those top 10s are backdoor ones where he wasn't really threatening to win the tournament on the weekend. He is talented, but he also isn't a great putter and that's what you need to really win majors.

Oh and look who is winning yet again. Rory the odds favorite ahead of him was hilarious.

Northern Ireland golf fans must be thrilled to finally get the Open back for the first time in 68 years just to watch the two most popular golfers in the world (including the native son) play like crap. Tiger basically taking the year off after the Masters.

The golf today was excellent.

My gosh, this is such a beautiful setting for the Open - now that the weather is good, the location just pops.

This is literally ~30km away, my backyard growing up and literally my sisters back yard.

The North Antrim coast and the Glens of Antrim are absolutely stunning and up until the last fifteen years relatively undiscovered due to people's reluctance to come up North.

To go to Ireland and not visit this part of the island is imo missing out. That and a failure to see a game of hurling. If you haven't experienced that, you've missed out significantly.

Still maybe the absolute craziest game i have ever seen, so i have to concur.

Props to you for working it into this conversation.

Haha. Now you know how an immigrant feels when they're experiencing hockey for the first time! Looks like chaos, but there's actually a method behind the madness.

Anyways, Lowry keeping the locals interested. Shaping up to be an interesting Sunday.
