Wild sign Zuccarello (5 yrs, $6mil AAV)

Who’s still looking for a No. 1 goalie? CBJ? CAR? Lehner and Mrazek still very much in play. In other news, as @RussoHockey has been suggesting, Mats Zuccarello to MIN on a five-year deal in the $6M range, give or take $200K, is quite likely to happen tomorrow.

Cant blame him...contenders dont have cap space and he has one shot left at a decent contract. He is one of my hockey pool late round favorites...but at 31...if he can get 5 years...you take it and run to the bank.

I really like Zuccarello. That said, It'll be interesting how well this contracted ages, I am just not a fan of giving term to players over 30.

After looking at the other contracts, this one looks almost fair. Good signing by the Wild, if the injury concerns from last year aren’t too serious or long term.
