wow, what a finish in the Hawks/Cowboys game. Romo blows the hold and they never get the chance to kick the game winning field goal. Seattle steals one and Dallas haters everywhere are dancing in the streets.

Unbelievable finish in the Seahawks game. First the take just short of the first down, and than Romo bobbles the snap and gets taken down short of the first down himself and the Seahawks escape with a 1 point win.
2007, More strange sports plays in a week than you usually see in 6 months. Unreal.

Terribly sloppy game, but wow, who would have ever predicted that crazy finish. Too bad neither of these teams have enough to beat the Bears/Saints.

Let me preface this by saying....i do not like the Cowboys at all.
I have to question that overturned call for the 1st down though. The way the rule reads and the way I have always seen it called is that there has to be indisputable evidence that the wrong call was made before changing it.
I'm not sure he was as far forward as the line judge had said, but i am positive that the replays didnt show it wasnt either...therefore that IMO is a very poor reversal.
That being said...glad to see the most overhyped team in the NFL out of it.

I totally agree, I hate the Cowboys but they got jobbed on that review.
I wasn't watching with sound so I don't know what was said, but there was no "indisputable evidence" that justified the call being overturned ... regardless of which way it was called.
Further, I think at the moment he caught it, was damn close, if not on, the first down line.
I think the NFL should invest in some triangulation software.

The thing about that call (and never showed on the replays, had to see it first off) is that the line judge ran in and marked that inside the 1 on the spot originally. There's no replay that shows me Witten crossed the 1 yd line.
Wow. Fantastic result..although all the playoff karma is used this season I think.
That said Hassleback probably can't play much worse next weekend....so who knows. Overall, a horrible effort...that loss would've been hung on him big time.
Playing the 'Dome in NO would be a bit of an advantage IMO then playing in cold Chicago, but Grossman could throw up another stinker, too.
I am not a Dallas hater, but one has to wonder why Owens gets the ball thrown to him 3 times with a patchwork SEA secondary (who, as I predicted, played a base defense and very conservative so as not to confuse guys playing in different poistions) who can't physically match him.

Wow what an ugly KC/Indy game, that was just brutal. However, the Colts defense stepping up now gives me hope that this team could go somewhere this year. Sanders means so much to this team, it really showed. Vinateri was huge for the Colts and they really needed him to be in the 1st half.

Patriots blow it wide open in the 4th quarter. 37-16 Patriots with 4:30 to play. Patriots @ Chargers, Colts @ Ravens will be the matchups in the AFC next week.
GO COLTS!

Thoughts on Wild Card Weekend:
KC-Indy:
You know what would've been nice to see -- KC have their first play be a flea-flicker. That would take some balls, and would've caught everyone off guard. Instead, they kept it on the ground, and got punished; they were only down 6, so they continued to keep it on the ground, and continued to get nothing. That loss wasn't Trent Green, or Larry Johnson's fault -- it was all Herm Edwards' fault.
Dallas-Seattle:
Dallas fails to take advantage of Seattle's depleted secondary. After being hailed as a saviour and being invited to the pro-bowl, the last memory of Romot his season is of him crying like a baby. I love it. The NFC sure does have a lot of crappy teams.
Giants-Philly:
Two very sputtering offenses. It was a game of runningbacks and field position; neither quarterback looked good. Philly managed to be the last one with the ball. In the end, Koy Detmer >>> Tony Romo.

Adam F'ing Vinateri. Thank you NE for giving this guy up, he's been the x-factor these last two weeks.
Peyton has got to get it through his freaking head that he's not going to have huge numbers and pick apart this defense today. Manage the game, your defense is playing there hearts out for you!
The Colts defense is playing one hell of a gutsy game. It's great to see them after I and many media people put them all but to rest for the year.
GO COLTS GO!!!!

Who woulda thunk it that Manning has played 2 stinker games in a row and the Colt Defence won them the games??!?!?! Certinaly not I! I do know one thing, if the Colts play like they did today against the Chargers/Pat's they don't stand a chance! Improved Defence or not I just don't see the Colts holding either of the Charger's or Pats to 6 points.
