clearly the 'most points not in' is a slippery slope as you will always be adding the next name, but out of interest (given that several other former Flames have been discussed)

the highest scoring D not in the HHOF is Gary Suter (13th OV)

further factoid, the highest +- (and yes that stat has a lot of limitations but at the top end its a list of NHL whos-who) amongst D not in is Brad Sarge McCrimmon. He's 7th behind guys you may have heard of: Robinson, Orr, Bourque, Potvin, Savard and Lidstrom. In fact if Carbonneau is in, why not Sarge?

I know. But I also think there's guys who have a good case of being snubbed. That said, no one is ahead of Iggy in my books.

Congratulations Hayley, well deserved. When people asked how I felt about the end of my 15-year term on the selection committee, I told them I had only 2 regrets - that I wasn't there to vote for you and for Jarome Iginla for the

I wonder what he thinks of Vernon’s eligibility.

Bump.

Seeing as this is relevant this weekend. I still don’t understand the Carbonneau nod. I get Theodore Hart trophy vibes from that decision. I mean, good for him, but far less deserving than certain players still on the outside.

Theodore shouldn't even have won the Hart that year, they cheated Iginla out of a Hart Trophy.

That’s what I mean. I feel like there was far to much Canadiens bias in the decision.
