Honestly, the first 16-17 minutes of the period felt like the classic situation where one team is dominating but if they don't find a way to score at least one the other team is going to make them regret it.

2 goals on 4 shots for STL late after it was all Boston for 90% of the period. Ouch!

Let's see Don justify this score. He said in the pre-game the Blues would never win in Boston. Duh- they won game 5. Go Blues.

Bruins will come out strong in the 2nd.

They'll get at least a few PPs to close the gap. I'm calling 3 PPO for the Bruins in the 2nd to 1 PPO for the Blues.

Crazy stat...

https://twitter.com/user/status/1138974289447796738

It has been 25 years since the losing team in a Game 7 of the Final has scored more than 1 goal (Rangers beat the Canucks 3-2 in 1994). This is the 7th Game 7 since then.

In the other two games (other than 1994) the losing team led 2-0 after one period.

1950 Rangers lost 4-3 to Red Wings OT
1971 Blackhawks lost 3-2 to Canadiens

Third time in four games O'Reilly scores opening goal. Blues won both previous games.

A big factor tonight is Bennington, though. Boston has done enough to be up 3-2 and will likely get at least one or two past him if they dominate as much as they have and keep getting ridiculous scoring chances.

Pretty solid minor league hockey team.

Stamkos, Tavares, Petro, and Del Zotto.

They also won game 2 in Boston (OT) . Should the Blues win a 3rd road game tonight...more than deserving SC winners.

People say the best hockey is played in round 1 but this final has been exceptional in terms of the hockey on display.
