You're a conspiracy theorist. He has a partially torn calf muscle. Which isn't to say he will be back, I would say he probably won't. But they haven't been lying and pretending he could be back.
Anyway, $200 bucks stake for a payout of $10,000 seems like a fair bet to me, considering if he comes back and the Warriors do win, I have a hard time imagining anyone else winning MVP (although I hedged with a small additional bet on Steph Curry that would see me do slightly better than break even).
your logic is sound; to add, i think Durant was doing pretty well before the injury...i'd probably have only bet 100
GSW is on life support - they need some kind of spark and Durant is hearing the calls grow louder, so even if he's 80%, there will be pressure for him to play.
tomorrow should be interesting... i think the injury is serious and i think he's not ready...but if they make it to game 6 there's a chance he tries to make a go at home

Are you hedging an actual bet on the Raptors or hedging your emotional state? I have never understood betting against my own team personally.
The latter. Basically, I'm happy if they win (enough that I don't care about wasting a couple hundred bucks), and if they lose, I'm considerably less upset about it.

The Following User Says Thank You to CorsiHockeyLeague For This Useful Post:
I don't see how Durant can make it back in time to make an impact on this series. I've heard reports that he can't even run yet. I'm not a doctor, so someone else can explain how one goes from unable to run to one of the best basketball players in the world in 48 hours.
If Golden State thinks they're going to be able to parachute him in and be the difference in a tight 15 minutes, they're dreaming in 4K.
Q: Have you bought property in Toronto? Did it happen?
Kawhi: No it didn’t. It didn’t happen yet.
So he has something under contract but it hasn’t completed yet. Can’t say he’s lying.

Jay Williams had dinner with KD last night, says he would be shocked of KD does not play tonight.
For whatever that's worth?
