I have nothing against the Blues but after last night I hope the Bruins pull it off. The NHL continues to embarrass themselves with terrible officiating.

And so a year of pathetic reffing continues. It seems appropriate that the final continues to have below average refs. Does not look good on the NHL but they aren't going to admit there is a problem. So go Blues.

Yeah, I'm sort of leaning the same way.

It just leaves a bad taste.

Which is a shame, because as a neutral this final has been fun. Its been good hockey.

Default SCF: Boston Bruins (A2) vs. St. Louis Blues (C3) — Blues lead series 3-2

The last time the Bruins were in the Finals they were also down 3-2, but they lost Game #6 in 2013. It’s a pretty different series for them this time than in 2011. That year the home team was winning every game, and while Boston was down after Game #5, they were going back to Boston where they had already outscored the Canucks 12-1. That’s not the case this time.

I like it, actually, You can deny it happened - like the NHL is trying - or just own it.

The Sharks had a hand pass give them a victory against St Louis. Now St Louis gets a break on a bad non-call. Are we even then?

That blaring newspaper headline won’t do them any favours once the officials see it.

Any more ex-Flames about to win on Sunday from the Blues organization?
About to win the Cup is leading 2-0 with 1:00 left in the game. Blues are a very long way from about to win anything.

Why? It's not like the headline was written by Berube.

Should the Flames be punished because of whatever nonsense Eric Francis decides to write?

I don’t think they like their errors being pointed out.

I agree it was a missed call but you have to play till the whistle goes...

St. Louis did...the Bruins ??? not so much.

If that's the case, wouldn't the Bruins be the ones to face the backlash because of Cassidy's comments more than the Blues because a local newspaper wrote a headline?

Agreed. Acciari was still on the ice, trying to draw a call that at some point he should have realized wasn’t coming.

Brutal missed call, and pretty much equally brutal failure to recognize that the whistle wasn’t coming.

He was still kneeling while they were celebrating. Trying to remember if he ever left the ice or if they just played around him the rest of the game. Heck, if you go to Boston, you may still find him kneeling there right now

I think that might of had more to do with his head slamming off the ice 6 seconds earlier than anything to do with "trying to draw a call".
