Yeah, it's a little scary when pretty much all of Alford, Mckinney, Drury, Jansen, Hernandez, Grichuk and Urena have sucked the big one at the plate this year.

None of those guys have an OPS of even .700, some of them waaaaaay below that mark.

Then Gurriel gets sent down because he can't throw a ball to 1st, and even Vladdy is only sporting a 0.711 OPS.

To top it all off you have Bichette injured after only 14 games at AAA.

That's just the offense. Then you look at the plethora of injured pitchers and shake your head.

Hopefully just growing pains, and it all comes together.

Sigh. Tuned in for a bit tonight. Not a good idea. This team is hot garbage.

This ones tough. Edwin jackson would not be starting if not for injuries to Shoemaker, Buckholtz, Borucki. Also Merryweather, Harris and Zeuch are all injured in AAA and I think Paulino and SRF both also had small stints on the injured list.

That's pretty brutal.

Tellez with his 2nd rally killing Double play and it’s only the 3rd. When the Jays went on a little run in April it’s because they were doing all the small things. Would’ve loved to see Tellez bunt or try and slap through the shift there.

Basically batting practice for the Rockies tonight. In the last 3 games started by Jackson the opponent has scored 40 runs. Jackson responsible for 23 of them. Might be time to hang it up.

Completely agree. He gets outside of his approach sometimes but mostly he has been fairly unlucky and I try not to take stats at Tropicana field too seriously because that place is a curse.

Gotta think that's the last we see of Edwin Jackson in a Jays uniform. DFA tomorrow?

I hope so. As You mentioned earlier the injuries to the starters are so unfortunate. These baby Jays could really use Shoemaker and Buckholtz right now to pitch well and eat innings. Jackson just isnt getting it done.

Well that was a nice throw by Gurriel. He's definitely athletic enough to succeed in the outfield.

Yeah I think Jackson is likely DFA'd. Thats three fairly awful starts in a row.

This is his 14th team, right? Probably should've let the 13th be the charm

So I notice Edwin Encarnacion is once again on pace for 30+ homers and 100 RBI. So glad we got to enjoy Two years of Kendrys Morales instead.

They offered him a contract but he turned it down thinking he'd get more. He ended up getting less.

I think both sides are to blame a bit. The Jays for being impatient with Edwin and thinking Kendrys was a suitable replacement and Edwin's team for mis-judging the market. Granted I think EE's free agency is right when teams started to basically stop giving 30 year olds any sort of term/significant money.

2nd and 3rd with 1 out and up to the plate come a couple of .400~ OPSers in Jansen and Davis.

Whiff. Whiff.

Just ####ing terrible.

Jansen has to be one of the bigger disappointments this season. Decent defensively but what a #### show offensively. Brutal. He'd be back in AAA if they had any other options.

Jansen drawing a walk was a miracle. These interleague away games force us to watch even more excruciatingly bad ABs than normal with the Jays pitchers hitting. Jansen, Davis, and any one of our pitchers is somehow A LOT worse than Goins, Pillar, Barney/Carrera.
