Water is the best thing to ever happen but only bottled water. I dont ever touch water from a faucet thats absolutley disgusting, I drink Aquafina and only Aquafina. My sister use to hate water and never touched it but I find what helps is excercise and eating a small piece of chocolate and drinking water right after, I can take down an entire bottle after I've had some chocolate (I dont know maybe it only works for my family).

Just try some with a slice of lemon in the bottle.. plain water not that flavored crap by Dasani. That stuff is nasty.
I drink probably a gallon a day.

I;m exactly the same way. I can manage milk with cereal, but after that... don't even think about offering me a glass to drink.
Plus it makes me poop. Too much info?
I also think that the bottled water companies LOVE the drink 10 glasses a day thing.

I'm exactly the same way. I know I should be drinking water but the lack of taste turns me off and I would rather drink juice or pop. Like you I only drank it when I used to work out and played hockey when I was younger.

I easily drink 8 cups a day. I've always liked it though. Makes you look like a penny pincher when you eat out, but I'd rather have water than pop or iced tea. As for getting to drink more of it, just do like the others have said and make a serious point of drinking it. When you go for groceries, don't buy pop or juice. This means you'll have no choice but to drink water at home. When you eat out just order water straight away. After a couple of weeks doing this you'll feel better and maybe start to like the stuff.

Bottled water is one of the biggest scams going. Tap water is just fine.
Should you really drink 8 glasses per day?

This is the online version of NRDC's March 1999 petition to the FDA and attached report on the results of our four-year study of the bottled water industry, including its bacterial and chemical contamination problems. The petition and report find major gaps in bottled water regulation and conclude that bottled water is not necessarily safer than tap water.

People who buy bottled water for its perceived purity may not be getting what they're paying for. They're most likely not getting adequate fluoride either, according to researchers at Case Western Reserve University and Ohio State University.
"Only three bottled waters ... had fluoride levels within the range recommended by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency," according to James Lalumandier, a CWRU assistant professor of dentistry, and Leona W. Ayers of OSU's College of Medicine and Public Health. The other 54 bottles fell short of the recommended range of 0.80 to 1.30 milligrams of fluoride per liter.
All Cleveland tap water samples, however, were not only within the accepted range but also scored very near the optimal level of 1.00 milligrams per liter.
Amazing, but true - tap water from Cleveland is better than bottled water!

Ditto for me too. For a while I tried drinking more milk but it made me feel yucky inside.

I actually don't mind the flavoured water. Other then that I haven't had a cup of coffee in two weeks so as a substitute I have a cup of green tea and then just warm water for the rest of the day. Takes care of the urge to be drinking something hot while quenching my thirst and getting my intake of water

While I didn't have a new year's resolution to drink more water like Mango, I did resolve to drink less pop (usually have diet pop). However, with less pop, water filled the void. I've lost a couple of pounds as a result.

I am fortunate, in that my work provides water and soft drinks in addition to coffee. So, it has become a routine to grab a 500ml bottle every few hours (in fact, I miss it when I don't).
From what I know, you can get your water from juice and milk as well - I mean if you made a litre of milk from concentrate, you essentially are getting a litre of water with some milk molecules mixed in.
I just read an article on how most of us are chronicly dehydrated. If you do sports, then 2 Litres per day is not enough. But again, it does not have to be straight water - power ade, gaterade all work - just remember you are getting a dose of calories at the same time.

Bottle water is over rated. Most of the time it is just tap water put into a bottle.
Quote:
Canadians increasingly choose bottled water over tap water. But a new study by the Sierra Legal Defence Fund argues that in some cities, tap water might be safer to drink. "Particularly if you're in one of Canada's larger cities -- Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver -- we would say that buying bottled water is probably a waste of your money," the study's author, Randy Christensen, told CTV News.

A one-litre brand-name bottle of flat water costs about $1.50. That's about 3,000 times more expensive than an equal amount of municipal tap water.

It also says that the average person drinks 45 litres of water a YEAR. That is crazy, I drink that in a month!

That **** is awesome, I don't know why it tastes so good (it is water after all) but it really does taste significantly better than any other water out there...the packaging is over the top too

It's all about the way it tastes, bottled water is a million times better then tap water, tap water tastes as if there is dirt in the water and it has a horrible after taste.

I liked the taste of Diet Coke but got turned off when I heard the urban myth that nutrasweet turns to formaldehyde in your body...anyone know if that is true?

New Rule: There's no such thing as flavored water. There's a whole aisle of this crap at the supermarket, water, but without that watery taste. Sorry, but flavored water is called a soft drink. You want flavored water? Pour some scotch over ice and let it melt. That's your flavored water.

Tap water tastes gross, so we have a water cooler at home too.

Go to the store. Get Gatorade powder, or Crystal Light water flavour things. They have a variety of flavours.
