I'd like to see the Blues win, just to twist the knife into long suffering Leafs fans in the Futility Sweepstakes.

And I was a Bruins fan as a youngster.

I'm happy for Bouwmeester.

Good, eat ish sharks. A contender for 15 years, gifted Thornton for nothing, vlasic pick for kipper, couture pick for toskala/bell, burns who sorta came out of nowhere after joining the sharks.

The absolute strongest management team of the most disappointing team in the sport.

Good riddance.

Barclay Plager
Bernie Federko
Doug Gilmour
Brett Hull
Adam Oates
Chris Pronger
Al MacInnis
Keith Tkachuk
Joel Quenneville
Brian Elliott
TJ Oshie
Kevin Shattenkirk
Ken Hitchcock

Am I missing names?
Uhhh.... Wtf. One if these is not like the others.

...Well 2. Shattenkirk blows too.

I want the Blues to win for my uncle.

He was on the bench when they lost their first of 3 consecutive cup finals all those years ago and then never played another game in the NHL. Even Scotty Bowman couldnt get them to the promised land.

I really like the Bruins as well but i think its time a new team finally wins.

Oh but somehow so many places have started naming him Seath....no idea where that is coming from. Will ask Bev next time i see her.

Fun fact...Seth was Vladislav Tretiaks idol.

Seth is woefully under recognized in this country. No he didnt have the great NHL career but truth is he made more money back then playing Sr. mens and playing for the Smoke Eaters, then doubling down as a firefighter for Cominco.

His amateur record is unprecedented though. Beat those stinkin commie bastard Soviets in the Worlds. At his funeral my cousin played the radio broadcast of the countdown in the gold medal game or final game that won the gold for them. IIRC it was Dan Kelley on the pbp but dont quote me on that.

So many stories.

It's been many years and my memory may be a bit foggy but I could have sworn he also owned a sports store in the mall in Trail, I believe in the 80's? Very nice man IIRC.

An absolute legend in Trail for sure.

Wow, that is quite a story and glad you shared. It’s funny I have a slight family connection to the Blues as well. My Mom’s cousin who I only met a few times played two years for the Blues and just missed playing with your uncle. He was an amazing player for the Regina Pats but a little small for the NHL I guess.

That one will be a little harder to guess.
