Vlad is definitely figuring it out.
Early on he was striking out a lot and swinging at bad pitches but now he is taking his walks, starting to hit home runs, his balls in play are going straight to defenders which will start to change and go his way a bit more.
I have to remind myself he is 20 years old.

Well at least it's a blister and not a nail issue. He has actually been pretty good this season.

Aren't injuries fun?
Hopefully by the end of the season we're able to get some looks at actual prospect pitchers, like Sopko, SRF, Borucki, Murphy, Perez....and unlikely but dare I say Pearson?
Guys like SRF and Paulino really crapped all over themselves this year with their AAA suckage. Total missed opportunity with all the SP injuries.

Vlad is really starting to look like the phenom at the plate we were anticipating.
Over last 7 games he is hitting .320, .393 OBP, 4 HR, 9 RBI, 3 BB and 2 Ks. Obviously a small sample size but he is drastically cutting down on his strike outs. Really positive signs.
