Oh the WWE network aired a special on the lost match between Bret Hart and Tom McGee, both btw Stampede Wrestling alumni. I would almost say its a must watch 30 minutes.
Cap - without watching it, is this match famous because it's really good? Or is it because McGee was McMahon's pet project and he really dropped the ball in this match?
AEW's TV partnership with TNT is official. Looks like they will also be streaming their weekly shows and PPVs on B/R Live as well. Not really familiar with that as a platform or how much it's going to cost but it's nice to know I won't need a cable package to watch.

I got my ticket today along with Smackdown. I don't really want to sit in the same section for all four events so I haven't got my seat for RAW and might wait for the general sale tomorrow. The closest I'm getting on the floor is the same section I'm sitting for SummerSlam and for the stands there's nothing in the middle sections that's not in the 20s. I could have got floor seats for Smackdown but decided to get row 10 in the stands as they were the same section as SummerSlam too.

Yep. PPVs are listed as $50 but I think that's USD. I don't think that's sustainable in today's market once the novelty wears off.
Yeah, that reduces my interest a bit. I'm not really interested in paying that much for any kind of PPV anymore. Its what killed me buying WWE PPV's until the network came along.
You would think marketing wise that they would do a reduced rate to attract the casual fans and try to convert them with an exceptional PPV.
I would be more willing to spend if I knew the product was going to be good.
I'm at a low point in wrestling anyways. I've stopped watching Smackdown and Raw, I still watch NXT and NXT UK. But either the product is one that I don't get anymore, or I have the attention span of a gnat I don't know.

I have a couple of buddies who will split the cost with me or provide the booze and food when we watch, so it's not a massive deal but it still strikes me as out of touch in the current environment.

It's really too bad that they couldn't figure out a partnership with NJPW. I didn't buy Double or Nothing but I watched it the next day on NJPW World.

That's because Raw and Smackdown have become ridiculously formulaic. I haven't watched either in over a year but I read the recaps and there just isn't anything there story-wise that I feel is must-see TV and I'll just watch the monthly PPVs when I see something I like.
NJPW has their Best of the Super Juniors Tournament on right now and start their G1 Tournament in July, both of which will feature a number of top-quality matches without storylines that insult their fanbase.
Sounds like TMZ might have exaggerated a bit or a lot as Flair was scheduled for surgery today.
Other news, I think we're seeing the end of Alexa Bliss as an in ring competitor. She was pulled from the Money in the Bank PPV as she couldn't get medically clear. She's been fighting concussion issues for nearly since October and suffered multiple concussions the first one at a house show when Brie Bella kicked her in the head. Then she was concussed by Jax at another house show. She was pulled and came back a month later and took a hard headshot from Rousey at a house show.
Since then she's only had a couple of in ring matches and they've been what I would describe as really protective of her.
I like Alexa, I always thought she worked hard in the ring and she puts the other woman to shame on the mic. But I think she's done.
I used to be a fan of the woman's division of the WWE but its gone to crap and it feels like the WWE is pulling back on the revolution a bit. There's only so many times people want to see Becky Lynch and Charlotte in the ring.
