Feels good, man. Now, to fill the stands on Saturday... And the Rose and Crown.

A point from that sloppy affair would’ve been “start the car” territory. Three points is a classic smash and grab.

Three points clear with a game in hand is a hell of a lead in such a short season. Take three from Edmonton on Saturday, and we're in the catbird seat.

I'm planning to take my son to a game, probably either May 18th or 25th (weather dependent). I'd like to get him a jersey. I'm a bit disinclined to order the one youth size they have available on the website without checking it, especially given the sizing chart for youth on the website doesnt match the sizes available for purchase. I also don't love the option of driving 1.5 hours round trip to check them out.

Anyone know if the gear is available anywhere farther north to look at/purchase? I could wait until we go, but he'll be excited so I'd love to have it in advance.

Unfortunately I think you may be out of luck. I’m not aware of any other retailers that have them.... there may be some soccer specific stores that have other Macron jerseys that are available to see the sizes though.

What contact number are you guys using?

I have been trying to get a hold of them since Wednesday to purchase Season's Tickets...I left two messages and an email and I still haven't heard back from them.

Apparently ticket sales are not a concern for them.

Default Available seats to Next Saturdays Game

This seating chart should pretty well sum up why those numbers are poor, I am happy I could buy cheap seats before they sold out because 90 dollars for a soccer game is simply too much.

Is there a risk that they fold partway through the season?

Average attendance is still better than York9...

I don't think they'll fold just because of the sunk costs spruce meadows have put in, they'll want to keep plugging for at least a year.

I think this has a chance to work well if they fix the pricing next year.

No. Not this season at least, I don't think any owner is expecting to turn a profit the first year, what with the cost of investment, and start up being high. That said, they might not lose money even with poor sales because of their prices.

For example if they sell 2000 tickets at 40 bucks for 15 home games (could be more if they advance in the Voyageur cup) they will turn a profit on ticket sales alone of 1,200,000. Plus the revenue from parking, merch, sponsors, their TV deal, and refreshments. With a salary cap of 1M, and probably an operating cost of a similar number, they will likely break even.

Here is an article that talks about the budget implications of running a CPL team. It sounds like the Edmonton FC owners lost about $6 million in the North American Soccer League.

The total airfare is half. The number of hotel nights on the road is half.

The salary structure is half. The caliber is likely to be reduced a tad but probably not so much you’d notice. Yet the interest will likely to be substantially higher and attendance ought to increase.

Not really. Keep in mind that the calibre of this league is somewhere between PDL and USL. And those figures would put the attendance at the middle of the pack for what the USL drew last year and well above PDL. And in the CPL's case, attendance should rise as the weather gets better.

What would be a comparable for a CPL team knocking off Montreal, Vancouver, or Toronto for that championship?

Would it be like an ECHL Team beating the Stockton Heat?

True across the league.

I though, was referring to Calgary's. Our numbers should be higher, but as has been debated --- the club did it to themselves with their pricing structure.

Yup. Though they're probably making as much money off ticket sales as anyone else. But given prices and location, I suspect we finish at the bottom for attendance. Maybe second last depending on York.

Depends on the team. Toronto and MTL are a lot better then Vancouver. But I’d say it’s more like a ahl team beating a nhl team.

I don’t know much about soccer, but my snobby soccer friend said that MLS doesn’t come close to the European League Teams...so I just automatically placed MLS as the AHL equivalent.
